Resilient Grids was selected as the only private firm (non-utility or government), to present at the NEMA Electromagnetic Pulse and Geomagnetic Disturbance Resilience Seminar (attendance over 300 people from the energy industry and government agencies). The Seminar was followed with a proposal to develop a NEMA Standard on our EMP mitigation technology.

Dr. Ramirez latest article was published at Energy Central where he revisits the current state of affairs of the EMP risk in our infrastructure, its criticality as a National Security matter and where it stands today in the energy community and government.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ramirez Orquin has been invited to speak at the upcoming CEATI 5th Annual Protection and Control Conference to take place at the Tucson Westin, Arizona, on March 6-7th, 2018. Dr. Orquin will be discussing Resilient Grids’ Perspective on EMP Mitigation, including an update on progress achieved in the company’s technology to protect the electricity grid from this serious threat.

Dr. Ramirez Orquin has been invited to present at the workshop titled “Resiliency Issues in a High-Voltage Transmission Grid: Impact on Power Systems & Line Designâ€, organized by CEATI’s Transmission Overhead and Design & Extreme Event Mitigation Interest Group, from October 16-20, 2017, in Portland, OR to discern on GIC Mitigation Technology.
